Today I had my first ultrasound to find out the due date of the baby. The doctor guessed I was about 8 weeks along last month. Today I discovered I am 16 weeks pregnant and due Nov. 6. I was happy to hear that because I am starting to show and just felt fat if I was only 8 weeks!
The nurse asked if I wanted to know the sex of the baby. I was caught off guard because I didn't know they could tell so early. She got lots of good shots and said it appeared to her to be a girl! It was fun to find out so early. I will get a second confirmation at my next ultrasound the doctor is doing at 24 weeks (July) but she said she saw three lines very clear on the screen so that means girl. I feel like I just brought little Alyssa home from the hospital and I actually did just bring Reese home 8 short months ago. I was looking at old pictures and found the one below of baby Alyssa. They are such little miracles.

I thought Reese deserved a post of her own so she can't claim that the middle child doesn't get as many pictures and attention :)
She is sitting up now and very expressive. Alyssa entertains her and she babbles nonstop. She eats a lot! Formula every couple hours and solids four times a day. Her room is blue but we are waiting to paint until we find out what the next baby is. Reese will get to move in with Alyssa and they'll share a room like me and my sister Natalie did! What fun!

What has happened since our last post...or what hasn't happened!

Alyssa is practicing feeding her baby because she is having another baby brother or sister! Surprise! We are expecting a baby this November and will know the due date later this month after Holly has her first sonogram later this month.
We bought a house and Alyssa and Grandpa Gary helped move in!

We're moving!

Well after months of looking and thinking we wanted to build we stumbled on this little gem. We signed the contract today and hope to close April 25th. It's a 3 yr old home in a new subdivision in Tolono, IL. Tolono and the house is just 6 miles south from where we live now in Savoy so no major change. The school district is better than Champaign and we have access to all the major surrounding highways so we can shoot up to the north side of Champaign quicker than driving through it as we do now. The previous owner had 2 little girls as well and so it's basically ready to move in. Here's some pictures and a link to a virtual tour, which I hope continues to stay up for all to see.
